I grew up in Auburn, Alabama where I receieved a bachelor's and master's degree in economics.  Naturally, I am a diehard Auburn football fan.  I got my PhD in Economics at Kansas State University in the Little Apple (Manhattan, Kansas).  During my time in Kansas I met my wife, Leidy Pena, while salsa dancing.  My hobbies include travelling (especially to Greece where my mom is from and Colombia where my wife is from), watching college football, and playing soccer.
